From Melbourne, we took a 12-hour train ride to Sydney, seeing a lot of the Australian countryside along the way. It primarily consists of farmland, a few hills, and green grass. It was fun to see all the sights that you've seen in pictures so many times. We saw the Opera House, walked across the Harbour Bridge, took a ferry ride to an area called Manly, went on a walking tour to see the historical sights, and hung out with the bats in the botanical gardens. The weather was great (except the day that we went to the beach at Manly, of course) and the city was beautiful.

I did not like the bats in Australia! They really freaked me out.
ReplyDeleteDid you guys do the bridge climb or just walk across? I think if I could live anywhere in the world, it would be Sydney! I love that city.
We just walked across the bridge. And I agree, the bats were very creepy!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize bats were a "thing" in Australia. . . It looks so nice. I'm just a little jealous since we had snow yesterday! However, there are flowers starting to bloom in my yard. Spring has sprung!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lesley! Sydney is one of my favorite cities in the world! It is fun to look at your pictures, Lauren! Brad and I have very similar ones from our travels last year. Enjoy yourselves!
