To get into Hanoi, we took yet another cheapie overnight sleeper train. Fun times! No matter how many times taking them, you never quite get used to these little gems of mass transport. By the time we arrived in Hanoi, nothing sounded better than just bumming around for awhile. For the better part of three days, we hung around the neighborhood near our hotel, ate street food, slept in, watched TV, and read. There was also a nice lake nearby where we could get away from the crowded streets and relax. It's a tough life vacationing from a vacation, but somebody had to do it!
After a month or so of traveling in Southeast Asia, Hanoi was our last stop before leaving the region. It was definitely an adventure! We enjoyed it thoroughly and would love to come back again someday to visit all the places we missed out on.
